Wool had a slow sale, with heavy withdrawals of speculators' lots. Shabby crossbreds were slightly easier. Good wools were firm. Up to date, 46,045 bales were offered, and 38.914 bales sold. Tho sales included Pcporangi 7Jd, Titi Bd, Puketoi 9:] d, Elderslie lOg-d. Young rabbits were in good rl.omand, and are retailing at lefs 6d to 14s. , Sheep. — North Island 3£d, best brands 4£d. others unchanged. Lamb. — Canterbury sgd, others unchanged. Beef. — Fores unchanged, hinds 3gd. River Plate. — Sheep, heavy, 3gd ; light. 3ld. Beef, fores, unchanged; hinds, 3gd.
