The Daily Express Odessa correspondent says it is reported at Sevastopol that the Black Sea Squadron has been placed temporarily out of commission, the gun locks having been removed. Seven hundred seamen and gunners have been arrested. The tone of the English Press regards the position as somewhat pessimistic. SOUTH AFRICAN STRIKE TROUBLE. Capetown^ June 17. Seven miners working in the Comet mine, on the Rand, were waylaid aild sjamboked. In another instance,, the house of the inmates who had resumed work after striking, was blown up with dynamite. The explosion killed the shift boss, belonging to the Comet mine, named Richards. OLYMPIAN SHOW. London, June 17. Of the champion trophies at the Olympian Horse Show, 16 went to England, 2 to the United States, and 1 to Holland. Nfaely-one first- prises were awarded to England, 14 to the United States, 2 to Canada, and 1 to Holland, and 1 to Belgium.
