MR CHARLES HOPPING'S CLEARING SALE. J There was a very large attendance at the clen ring sale of five ard dead stock conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., on behalf of Mr Charles Hopping, at Taikorea on Wednesday. Bidding was brisk throughout, and a very good sale resulted, the. dairy cows and implements selling particularly well. The imported Holstein cow realised £31, and the two imported Holstein bulls made £40 each. The draught stallion, "Dollar Jock," brought £70, and other horses sold very well. The highest price paid for dairy cows was £15. Quotations : Sheep. — Ewes in lamb, 15s lid to 16s 4d ; Shropshire ewes in lamb, 18s 6d; ttore ewes, 10s Gd, cull lambs, 6s sd.
