GOLF.
Notwithstanding the deluge on the previous night which made the links rather wet tbe first mixed foursome competition held at the Feildmg links was a great success. The links are prettily situated on the Awahun road about two miles from Feilding. A most enjoyable game can now be bad on them. Tbe competition was played against a bogey score for prizes presented by the captain, the winners being Mr and Miss Spain. Afternoon tea was kindly provided by Mesdames Taylor and Carr. The following are the scores : — Mr and Miss Spain, 9 up. Mr L. Gorton and Miss Taylor, 7 up. Mr Geo. Taylor and Mrs McAllum, Gup. Mr J. B. Pascall and Mrs Pascall, Gup. Mr W. Mackay and Miss Muckay, 5 up. Mr R. McLennan aud Mrs McLennan, 8 up. Mr Lewis and Mrs Prior, 2 up. Mr Carty and Mrs Chase Morris, 1 down. Mr Win. Taylor and Mrs Carr, 6 down.
