FATHER HAYS' VISIT.
There was a full attendance of Father Hays' Citizens' Committee last evening, when all arrangements were completed. Mr G. Bartholomew presided. The following was part of the business transacted : - Resolved, That this meeting regrets that an inaccurate account of last meeting, with reference to the Mayor and Councillors, was published ; but deprecates the tone of tbe Mayor's letter to the Secretary, and his action in publishing the said letter, before ascertaining the correct form of the resolution, to which he took exception. Resolved, That the Rev. Innes Jones be Chairman of Father Haya' meeting. Resolved, That as Father Hays prefers a quiet reception, the scr vices of musical bands bo dispensed with. Resolved, That the minist rs of the various churches be invited on the platform, and be asked to say a few words of welcome to tbe lecturer, and that Mr Hugh Mclntyre be asked to speak for the general public. Resolved, That the Chairman of the Committee be asked to meet Father Hays at the station, with any other members who can be present. It was stated that tbe Rev L. M. Isitt (who was acquainted with Father Hays' work in England and Ireland) bad said that he believed that Father Hays would use the nett proceeds of his mission in forwarding the temperance roform in the Home lands.
