Further Explosions at Port - Arthur. Another Russian Defeat. Chinese Neutrality. Received May 20, 7.41 a.m. . JLondon, May 19. The despatch boat Fawan reports that when passing Fort Arthur on Wednesday morning she heard six heavy explosions, suggesting that the Russians were destroying the ships and docks. Replying to Russian diplomatic suggestions regarding China's warlike attitude, Great Britain and America expressed a hope that Russia would respect Chinese neutrality. Tke Japanese on Monday captured Eaiohau, alias Kaiping, and advanced to Teshichio, driving fifteen hundred Russians before them. After destroying several miles of railway, the Japanese re-embarked at Kaichau, and proceeded southwards. A thousand Russians re-entered Niuch^ang, and intend to burn the gunboat Sivoutch if the Japanese approach.
