N.S.W. v. Australian Eleven.
Sydney, December 12. The match between the New South Wales thirteen, and the Australian eleven commenced in fine weather. There was a difficult wicket and the attendance was poor. The thirteen were disposed of for 227. The chief scores were — Mackay 87, Diamond 84, Hickson nofc out 68. The most successful bowlers were, Trumper 8 for 18 ; Saunders 8 for 88; Armstrong 2 for 18; Hopkins 2 for 29.
