VANCOUVER MAIL SERVICE.
Telegraph Press Association Copyright, Melbourne, This Day. , It is understood that Mr David Mills has submitted to Sir E. Barton a proposal of £40,000 to be paid up to date for the Vancouver mail service. It is believed that the amount named does not commend itself to the Federal Government. Possibly the contract may be extended at any rate for a short period on a basis of approximation to tbe present arrangement.
