ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

An elderly man named Robert B'ngen, a blacksmith at Halswell, while in a drinking bout, attempted suicide by cutting his throat with a knife. He was admitted to the hospital and fatal consequences are not expected. The Burnham Industrial School boy. Kenny, who was admitted to the hospital a fortnight ago, suffering from a stab in the groin, inflicted by another inmate, said to be accidentally, died to day. Duxedin, June 8. At the inquest touching the death of Peter Murray, the jury returned a verdict that death was caused by being thrown from a cart owing to a collision with that of Mr Samuel, but that no blame was attributable to Samuel. Dr Emily Siedeberg, the only female physician in Dunedin, was thrown out of a trap yesterday and three ribs broken, and also sustained contusions about the body. Otherwise her injuries are more painful than serious. Hawera, This Day. A boy noined Graham was thrown from his horse, and sustained concussion of the brain. Ho shows a slight improvement. Suva, This Day. An Italian named Mairina, recently from Brisbane, committed suicide on Saturday by shooting himself in the head with a pistol.
