The Rebellion in Cuba.
DEFEAT OF THE SPANIARDS WITH HEAVY LOSS. (Per Press Association). Madrid, November 27. News from Cuba states that a fierce battle has taken place at Taguasco. The rebels claim that the Spaniards lost 1200 killed, including General Aldave, and that they themselves lost 800. The Cubans claim a victory in the receilt fight, which was the severest battle in the campaign. The Republicans in Spain demand granting autonomy to Cuba in order to stop the war.
