The Dairy Produce Trade.
(Per Press Association). Loxn.ix, June 3. Mr Vagg considers that Victoria ought to be able to undersell Swedish aud Danish butter by 2d per lb without injury. There is abundant evidence that both countries intend to lessen the output next winter, owing to tho fact that the trade does not pay. This will create an opportunity for Australia. He advises the supporters of New South Wales, Victoria aud New Zcalaud to unite to secure stores, with two experts managing the sales and transfers in accordance with the state of the market. He estimates the loss last season owing to the absence of direct control at 1100,000. Mr Vagg thinks it impossible that the salesmen cau rebel agaiust such a scheme, as the trade is now too firmly founded to be at their mercy.
