The one hundred and fifty yards race between Hutchen*, the English pedestrian and Malone, the sprint runner, took place yesterday, and resulted in a victory for the former. Time, fourteen and three-fifths seconds.
In the Inter-colonial Yacht Pace yesterday on the inside course the |Waitangi beat the Janet and Magic by her allowance.
Brisbane. January 24. Heavy storms have been experienced in this city and neighbourhood, accompanied by a deluge of rain. Railway communication has been partly suspended, and some damage has been caused to shipping.
