SCHOOLBOY DROWNED
FATALITY AT CLEVEDON CORONER'S INQUIRY ADJOURNED A drowning fatality occurred at Glevedon on Wednesday afternoon when a schoolboy, Arthur William Francis Scott, aged 13 years, w r as the victim. The deceased was a son of Mr and Mrs E. A. G. Scott, of North road, Cievedon. After school on Wednesday afternoon, in company with several other children, deceased went to a swimming pool in the Wairoa river where he got into difficulties and disappeared. He could not swum but could “dog paddle” a little. The body was recovered four hours later and an inquest opened before the I riot coroner, Mr C. K. Lawrie, of Pukekohe, yesterday. After formal evidence had been given the inquest was adjourned sine die.
