MRS SARAH CHAPMAN A BUS!HUNT DF OPUATIA The dealli lias occurred in Auckland of .Mrs Sarah Chapman, agerf 55. wife of Mr 11. It. Chapman, of Opualia, who is chairman of Ihe Feanklin Dairy Company. Uimifed. Mrs Chapman, who was horn in Thames, was the second daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Thomas Clark. Her marriage look place, in Paeroa and she la!or lived in the Cambridge dislricf, and at Pokeno. Cnehunga and Opualia. She leaves a husband, seven sons and three daughters. There are two grand-children.
MR J. H. DARBY Mr John Hughes (Jack) Darby, who was accidentally killed while at work near Plimmerton, Wellington, on February IJ, was welt known in the Mangaiawhiri district, having lived there for several years with his brother, Mr C P. Darby. He was a keen athlete and won <juile a few Irophies for running. The funeral took place at Karon. Wellington, on Thursday last. He is survived by IP roe brothers —Messrs 0. A. Darby (Auckland). S. A. C. Darby (Palmerston Norlh) and C. P. Darby (Mangalawhiri—and three sisters — Mesdames S. S. Murray (Turuu). B. Laurie iWhangarei) and B. W. Gunn (Paekakereiki). He was the youngest son of flio late Mr and Mrs William Darby of Wnihi and Thames.
