FRANKLIN GOLD STARS BUCKLAND BEATS WAIUKU The Franklin Bowling Association’s challenge stars have changed hands and Buckland will be the holders until next season. The final game was played at Waiuku and resulted: Neal, Bree, Jamieson, A. F. Hewitt (Buckland) 29, v. Goodwright, Horton, C. R. Barriball, E. S. Barriball (Waiuku), 20. FIRST YEAR CHAMPION Five players, representing the P'ukekohe, Waiuku and Buckland Clubs, competed on the Pukekohe greens on Saturday for the title of first-year singles champion of the Franklin Bowling Association. The winner was E. Wilson, Pukekohe, who defeated A. Pratten, Buckland, in the final by 18 points to 16.
