IVIISS O. BARNES OUTSTANDING THRILLING FINISH BY SENIORS TRIPLE DEAT HEAT i 1 A great finish was staged by J. Glasgow, Des Bilkey and George Osborne, when they all breasted the tape together in the senior 440 yards event at last week’s meeting of the Papakura Athletic Club. A triple dead heat was awarded by the judges. There was a splendid attendance and a fine programme of events decided. Miss D. Barnes was the outstanding competitor of the meeting, annexing the broad jump off the 2ft. Gin. mark and win- , ning the 100yds. event. Miss Barnes | was also placed second in the 00yds.
