Tbe annual meeting of the Ramblers' ] "Rugby Football Club held last evening ' "was attended by about 40 players and supporters. , The president, Mr J. P. ! Rae>, presided. Prior to the commencement of busi- ' nessv votes of sympathy were passed to "the relatives of the late Mr*A. L. Wood and Mrs J. Pollock. i

The following report was presented: "In presenting. the report for the 1928 season, we must first of all congratulate the club on the very successful season it has experienced, although the seniors did not win the 'Championship they were runners up in the Pollock Cup. The juniors went through the season with an unbeaten Tecord and thus hold the Motion Cup! The. third grade succeeded in winning "the third grade championship. It performed very well, only suffering one and a draw. Several seniors 'gained representative honours and also ■Northern Waikato honours, while no less than ten juniors gained places in the junior representative team. The third grade was also represented by "five players in the grade representative team. It will be seen that the club 'Came through the season with an excellent record. In conclusion we -wish to thank all players and supporters for the very happy relationship -which has existed amongst all and we hope the same will continue through--out the coming season."

The balance sheet revealed a credit of £lB 15s on the year's working. The president in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet -complimented the three teams on their Tespective performances during the •season. The lower grades had done -particularly well; and in them he took a great deal" of interest for the young players would be the future seniors and senior representatives. Mr Rae -went on to say he regretted that the .-club, especially the senior players, did :not make sufficient use of the lights erected on the domain for outdoor -practice. He stressed the point that -players must train in order to fit themselves for the game and to obtain combination. In concluding the president • expressed his pleasure that the City >club had been resuscitated, and appealed to members to obtain any new -players arriving in the district.

Officers elected were: —Patron, Mr 'Robert Fulton (re-elected) ; president, Mr J. P. Rae (re-elected) ; vice-presi-dents, Dr. A. T. Begg, Messrs H. A. Stuart, W. G. Roulston, W. G. Pleydell.'F. Graham, G. H. Jemison, J. J. /Hart, T. Brownlee, A. Jeffries, A. N. •Clews, Duncan Roulston and E. J. "Morrison; secretary, Mr E. T. Ryan (re-elected) : senior selector, Mr S. "Marshall: junior selector, Mr J. Adams; third-grade selector,-Mr J. P. Rae; delegates to the Pukekohe subunion, Messrs Rae, Marshall and Jemison; club captain, Mr F. Graham; third grade team manager, Mr G. Mitchell: auditor, Mr M. S. Campbell: social committee, Messrs 0. Pollock, G. Li. Brownlee, Roy Fulton, R. Mills, S. Marshall, E. Dix and W. Pleydell. Dances to be held under the auspices of the club during the season -were left to the social committee to arrange.

It was decided to recommend the union to hold a footballers' ball during /the year.
