please. In this connection it has retained the confidence of its past customers, and, in addition, has gained innumerable new clients. To cope with its increased business connection it has been found necessary from time to time to engage additional hands, the total now standing at ten.

The joinery branch is situated in Harris Street, and there for the past eight years the first-class article is produced. Messrs Pausett and Sons specialise in shop and office fittings, staircases, parquetry flooring, showcases, window and door sashes and joinery of every description. No timber but heart of totara is used for external work. Many of the firm's customers hail from far afield. Recently it supplied fittings for the Farmers' Trading Company's premises at Tuakau, the railway social hall at Otahiihu, Auckland Electric-power Board's Onehunga premises and the Paeroa hospital. Its fittings manufactured for grocers' premises have been recommended by prominent architects on several occasions. The building branch has also extended in company with the expansion in the joinery business. One of its latest buildings is Mr Ivan Fausett's residence in Harris Street —a modern home with every conceivable convenience

Being direct importers of glass the firm can supply plain and, fancy glass at competitive prices. The factory is open for public inspection at any time.
