The fixture was marred somewhat by the inclement weather. In the’ morning fell which caused a de-

lay and again at about 2 p.m. The weather cleared temporarily and sevv oral events were decided but a torrential downpour was experienced shortly after three o’clock which necessitated the-postponement of the remaining events until Friday next.

A feature of the gathering was the keen rivalry which existed between the ten competing schools, Buckland, Pulceokhe, Bombay, Pukekohe East, Mauku, Puni, Paerata, Patumahoe, Paparata and Waiau Pa. Arrangements were complete in every detail and the fixture was a big success from .every point of view. - • i - - ■'
