CITY CLUB . RESUSCITATED.

AN ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING. At a meeting of footballers and supporters last .evening the City Rugby Football Club was resuscitated, the Power Board club having disbanded.

Mr .W. Wyatt presided over a good alien dance.

Officers elected for the current.season were: —Patron, Mr W. Wyatt: president, Mr J. Reynolds; vice-presi-dents, Dr. A. T. Begg, Messrs E. .T. Morrison, H. Curd, T. E. Keven, A. C. Gill and R. F. Wilkinson; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. J. Patterson: auditor) Mr R. Archer; club captain, Mr D. G. Law; management committee, Messrs L. Johnston, D. G. Law, L. Fisher, E: Slevin, A. J. White and G. Hinton; delegates to the Pukekohe;s'ub union, Messrs Patterson, Law and i White; selectors, Messrs Law and Johnston ; coach, Mr Law.

The subscription was fixed at 5s for seniors and 2s 6d for juniors. > . The question of insuring players against accident was left to the delegates to obtain information as to schemes used by other clubs, and to bring the same before the union for consideration.'.

It was decided to hold a meeting next Tuesday night for the purpose of considering the alteration of the name of the club and the fixing of colours.

Mr Wyaft was asked to arrange a return match with the Waihi club at Pukekohe prior to the commencement of the inter-club competitions. A vote pf thanks was accorded Mr W. G. Shotbolt for the use of his room.

THE BOMBAY CLUB.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Bombay Football Club was held last week, the president, Mr H. J. • Flay, presiding over a good attendance. The president reported on the last year’s operations. • The finances were in a healthy condition, the credit in hand- in all accounts totalled £36 16s Bd. The senior, junior and third grade teams did very well in the club competitions. The. seniors played 9 games; won 4, drew 2 and lost 3. The juniors played 9, won 3, lost 4, and drew 2; and the third grade won 3 lost 2 and drew 1. The balance sheets of club, insurance and emergency funds were adopted. '■

The election of officers resulted :

Patron, Mr R. M. Broughton; president, Mr H. J. Flay (re-elected) ; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. Evans (reelected) ; vice-presidents, Messrs H. and G. Carter, A. Best, G. T. Proude, C. J. Whitmore, J. B. McKinney, R, Donovan, R. Masefield, C. McKinnon. P. Wyatt, J. Townsend, W. Hayward, P. Bond, A. Petersen, D. McKenzie, Butterworth, and A. Sutton; management committee, Messrs H. and G. Garter, R. Reynolds, C. Peterson, S. Lowrie, G. Wyatt, G. Proude, J. Mill, A Wray, A. Brown, L. Sturgeon and A. Best; delegates to Franklin Union: Messrs J. Mill, G. Proude and the secretary (two of above to act) ; auditor, Mr A. Best (re-elected). It was decided that delegates’ travielljng expenses be paid by the club.

The subscriptions for the ensuing year were fixed as follows, players 5s and insurance Is per match.

The following were appointed selectors: — (Senior), Messrs G. Carter, J. Mill and A. Wray; (unior), Messrs Bingham, R. Donovan and junior capain.

It was decided to start practice on the. first Saturday in April.

It is hoped to put three teams in the field this year.

Mr H. Garter consented to act as selector of the third grade team. It was decided to call tenders for carrying teams for the year and that the club pay the travelling expenses of the third grade team.

The following referees were nominated: Messrs A. Peterson, J. Miller, P. Weir, L. Balm and R. Greenwell.

A motion was carried that the Bombay club express its appreciation of the way that the various teams were entertained by the clubs played against last year.

Messrs Haywood, Reynolds and Mitchell were appointed gatekeepers.
