PLAINTIFF'S CLAIM REDUCED BY COURT
In the Alagistrate’s Court yesterday, ■Mr 'H.‘ AV. Bundle, S.AI., gave judgment for T. C. Smith, a plasterer (Air F. AV. Guest) for' £4 ss, with costs (£1 19s). Smith had claimed from F. A. Hoatten the sum of £ll 17s for work- done and' materials supplied at the request of Hoatten, together with £1 6s 6d for sand and cement belonging to Smith, which had been used by a bricklayer whom Hoatten had employed without Smith’s consent, and £1 16s for two hours lost' by two plasterers and one labourer employed _by the plaintiff, making the total claim, £l4 19s.
HEARING ADJOURNED. ' Claiming £49 damages arising out of the exchange of properties between the two parties, Robert Murray Newlands and Margaret Alice Newlands (Mosgiel, Mr R. C. Rutherford), proceeded against Robert Frame (Mr, D. A. Solomon). It was alleged by the plaintiffs that Frame had; failed to deliver 12 pullets, according to contract, and they also claimed damages for alleged breach of warranty of the condition of two cows also included in the contract of exchange. After hearing'the plaintiff’s case, the Magistrate adjourned the case until Monday morning. __
