MRS J. K. DOLAN'S WIN CANTERBURY CHAMPION BEATEH CHRISTCHURCH, October 19. The completion of the second round of the New Zealand women’s amateur golf championship at Shirley left 16 players to contest tho third round bn Monday. Miss Z. Hudson, the Canterbury champion, was the only seeded player to lose her match, being beaten, 1 up, bv Mrs J. K. Dolan (Otago). Results:— Miss B. Todd (Masterton) heat Miss A. Wallis (Maungakiekie), 4 and 2; Miss H. Buchanan (Christchurch) beat Miss S. Banks .(Cambridge), 3 aud 2; Mrs J. B. Hatrick (Miramar) beat Mrs F. S. Hutchinson (Poverty Bay), 3 and 1;> Miss J. Horwell (Timaru) beat Mrs R. Ferguson (Miramar), 7 and 4; Mrs P. Andrew (Titirangi) beat Mrs E. Cassels Brown (Auckland), 2 and 1; Mrs Welton Hogg (Wellington) beat Mrs E. M. Hunt (Wellington), 1 up; Mrs G. H. Hollis (Titirangi) beat Miss B. Morrow (Ashburton), 4 and 3; Mrs H. A. Penn (Russley) beat Mrs J. Burrowes (St. Clair), 4 and 3- Mrs D. A. F. Crombie (Wellington) beat Mrs R. G. Rainey (Rangiora), 7 and 5; Mrs C. J. Ward (Christchurch) beat Miss P. Norton (Christchurch), 4 and 3; Mrs P. R. Glanville (Te Awamutu) beat Miss R.
