PERSISTENT ERROR
It looks as if United Nations will never achieve a universal recognition of its proper title. With great persistence the wholly incorrect " Uno " keeps a wide circulation, and no one appears to be able to put it right, says Peterborough, in the ' Daily Telegraph,' of London. "What seems remarkable is not the
way Uno has slipped into colloquial speech, for it is a convenient solecism, but its constant official use outside Central Hall. On January 11, I reported an official request to drop the word " Organisation," which is not once mentioned in the Charter. The desire has since been widely' made known. In the official issue of the journal of the Security Council all references are to either United Nations or Nations Unies.
