CINE PHOTOGRAPHIC CLUB
DEMONSTRATION OF COLOUR FILMS A meeting of the Otago Cine-photo-graphic Club was held last evening. Mr Webster, vice-president, was in the chair, and 35 members and friends were present. Dr Cottrell conducted the evening's 'programme, the subject being colour photography. He dealt first with the principles of colour photography and then explained how to obtain best results with colour photos and the types of light and composition which could be expected to give the most satisfactory results both for indoor and outdoor work. The lecture was illustrated with lantern slides, the lantern being operated by Mr Colin Nees. After the supper interval colour films taken by Dr Cottrell and Mr Colin Nees were presented. These films demonstrated very clearly the high standard that could be obtained from modern cine-films. Mr Roberts, who proposed a vote of thanks, expressed the appreciation of those present for an extremely interesting and informative evening.
