ATTLEE CATECHISED
FUTURE OF LORDS ((Rec. 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, January 23. Two Labour members questioned Mr Attlee in the House of Commons on the future of the House olf Lords. Mr Clement Davies asked for a statement of Government policy, and whether any change was proposed in the immediate future in the membership or powers, partciularly regarding the hereditary qualification. Mr Medla'nd asked Mr Attlee if he would announce the steps the Government proposed to take to reform the House of. Lords to, ensure that the will of the people remained inviolate, Mr Attlee: "I have no statement to make on this." Mr Clement'Davies: " Do you still adhere to the reform policy enunciated at the annual conference? " Mr Attlee: " I always adhere to our policy." ,
