HOUSE SHORTAGE.
TO THE EDITOK. Sir, —During a fishing trip to Seal Point, on the Peninsula, I noticed several abandoned .farms. At least, the houses were empty arid falling to pieces for want of attention. In these times of shortage of roofing iron, timber, etc., could not these houses be shifted nearer the city, or could not the City Council make some effort to supply a bus service from this district daily, so that people living in these houses could get to their work and the children get to school?—I am, etc., January 22. House Shortage.
