GERMAN COLLIERIES
DIRECT BRITISH CONTROL IN OWN ZONE (Rec. 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 21. The British will take over direct control of all collieries in the British zone in Germany from to-morrow. Assets involved total hundreds of millions of pounds. A controller will be appointed in charge of the assets of 68 colliery companies.
