FACTORY BEAUTIFICATION
GARDEN AREA PROPOSED ■Members of the Dunedin Amenities S<s ciety expressed warm appreciation at a meeting of the committee yesterday of a letter received from Fletcher Holdings Ltd. intimating their intention of developing a garden area at the Linseed Oil Factory premises in Parry street. •"..•.• Mr Rupert Fountain said he felt thai societv should draw the public's attenion. to what had been done by some existing manufacturing concerns in beautifying their premises. In Christehurch Edmond's Baking Powder Company had established a most attractive garden round the works, and with a little encouragement the samo could be done by some of : our local industries. Some had -already made a very fine start. On the motion of Messrs'Ash and lounfcain, it was agreed to warmly endorse the action of a sub-committee in assuring Messrs Fletcher Holdings Ltd. of the. society's interest and co-operation, and to do everything possible to extend the development of "the suggested scheme for beautification. . ,
