WOMEN'S COMPETITION
Women's hockey matches vVer'e played at the Ova! under unpleasant conditions, rairi falling intermittently and the grounds beihjj tali and slippery. By 5 goais to 2 College defeated Otago" in the A I. grade. College gave a good exhibition, particularly in the second Eaif. Scorers for the winning team were Joy Fraser (2), U. Wickham (2), ittld o'. fcSwSnh (1). For Otago J. Morris was the only scorer. Kings defeated University by S goals to 1. Play in the first spell was fairly even, but the 'University players failed t 6 held their opponents in the second half. 'l'liS backs played well, but the forwards lacked combination. P. Morgan was again the only scorer. M. Eaton, King's centre forward, scared five goals, H. Harley Scored three, and R. Roberts one. In an even match Momona defeated Bounty by 5 goals to Ij For" .the winning team the scorers were W. Middlefcon (3). J. McLaren (1), and C. Middletou (1). J. Tait played well for Bounty, scoring the only goal In the A 11. grade, Kings defeated Dunedin by 1 goal to 0. The scorer was D. Sow Hoy. Momona defeated University by 2 goals to 1.
