Fines totalling £14,033. with' 140 gs costs, were imposed in the Board »r Trade prosecutions against the London wholesale mantle manufacturers. Green and Hearn company directors, in addition, were fined £4.262 each, with 50gs costs. Another director was fined £350, with 50gs costs. The company was accused of overcharging retailers £47.000 in the sale of over 160.000 women's utility garments over a period of 18 months, with the result that the public has been overcharged by £67.000.
