RAID FROM SOUTH
GERMANY AND AUSTRIA ATTACKED
(Rec. 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 24. Berlin radio announced that large formations of American four-engined bombers from South Italy raided Germany and Austria this afternoon. Stvrnia was among the places attacked. Earlier the Berlin radio reported that the Zagreb area had an alert for two hours in the morning, when .'3OO bombers and 200 fighters flew over the town of Kutina. . The Budapest radio quoted an official communique, saying that several waves of Allied planes crossed the south-west frontier of Hungary in the afternoon and dropped isolated bombs.
