The last seen of him by some of the survivors was that he was on a raft with the first officer. While there is still a, possibility that Mr Coot and his companions have been picked up, there is no evidence of the fact, and he is officially presumed! lost." The sincere sympathy of the Government, both Houses of Parliament, and the Labour movement was extended . to Mrs Cook and members of the family by Mr Fraser. The Prime. Minister said that Mr Cook was one of the outstanding figures of the New Zealand. Labour movement.
