TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Those who may contemplate answering the appeal made by the University - authorities for lodgings for students would be well advised to obtain an assurance that their names will not bo supplied to students concerning whom complaints have previously been made, and also to ascertain what action, if any, may be expected from the authorities should it be necessary to ask their assistance in dealing with any of tho “ fly-by-night ” circle whom they may unknowingly accept as lodgers. No less important is tho necessity for a complete understanding regarding tho use of electric current, etc., as not all (he shocks a landlady may receive will come from (he careless handling of live wires.—l am. etc..
