REMUERA SEAT

NO NATIONALIST SPLIT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, October 1. “ There is, no split in the ranks of ..members of the National Party in the Remuera electorate. The branch committee met last week, and those who had opposed Mr Endean’s candidature at tee General Election decided to stand aside and make room for Mr Endean’s supporters.” This statement was made to-day by officials of the National Party in Auckland, commenting on a report in the ‘ Standard ’ that there was a definite split in the ranks of the Nationalist Party in Remuera. The officials said that members who had resigned from the committee remained members of the party, and some were still members of the Central Executive.
