REACTION TO GOVERNMENT SCHEME LONDON, April 15. The Glasgow dodkers’ opposition to the Government’s dock labour scheme for a-guaranteed week slumped yesterday, when over 1,000 men accepted from to-day. Only men who accept the scheme will be employed. THREE MONTHS’ TRIAL LONDON, April 10. (Received April 16, at 11.25 a.m.) Acting on the advice of trade union leaders, the majority of the 4,000 dockers in Glasgow to-day agreed to accept the Government’s labour scheme on three months’ trial, which will pdivide an opportunity for the adjustment of weaknesses.
