CANADIAN EXPENDITURE
HUGE WAR APPROPRIATION (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 14. Canada’s daily war expenditure is now about three times as great as it was in the heaviest year of the last war, and it is expected to exceed 4,000,OOOdol before March of next year. Her war appropriation of some £290,000,000 has, of course, created unprecedented industrial expansion, which is reflected an the employment of 330,000 men since the beginning of the war,' and the national income for 1940 shows a gain of 575,000,000d0l over the previous year.
