ST. KILDA TRAM SERVICE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The citizens of Dunedin will look with a good deal of hope for the outcome of the St. Kilda Council’s effort to get s decent service for the residents of that area. We in the city have protested against these so-called economies by the Transport Committee —in fact, it will be remembered that a meeting was held for this purpose, together with the presenting of a petition signed by 2,200 certified ratepayers, only to have the whole thing ignored by the City Council. The St. Kilda Council can rest assured that the city residents are wholeheartedly behind them in their efforts to get a better service, for the summer period at least. — I am, etc., Ratepayer. November 4.
