SURF REPORT BETTER CONDITIONS INDICATED Better conditions than have pro* vailed for some time past are indicated. .on all local beaches,, and given' fine weather over the week-end ther# should be increasd numbers of ’ surfers at all beaches. At St. Clair; the centre of interest will bo the Otago surf life saving championships, and the beach there is in good order, with an absence of rip. ; The St.. Kilda beach conditions arai improving, but there is still a tricky back wash and several holes close to the shore to guard against. Tomahawk beach is in good order, with a light, moderate sea, and tho temperature of the water is mild.
