LARGE CONTINGENT FOR LIBYA TWENTY THOUSAND TO LEAVE FROM GENOA Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright GENOA, October 27. Preceded by a triumphal procession through decorated streets, one of the largest migrations in history will be begun when the Vulcania, with Marshal Balbo aboard, the first of 20 ships taking 20,000 settlers to Libya, will sail from Genoa to-morrow, the anniversary of tjie Fascist march on Rome. Thirty special trains will' converge on Genoa. Naples, and Syracuse, the three ports of departure from Italy and Sicily. They will bring 1,800 families averaging nearly 10 children apiece. Food and clothing are being issued to the adults and toys to the children. The men will march to the wharf six abreast, while the women and children will ride in motors. Signor Mussolini will review the argosy of-the sea. INTENSE CULTIVATION PLANNED LONDON, October 27. The; Rome correspondent of- the ‘ Daily Telegraph ’ states that Marshal Balbo says the 20,000 will be increased to 140,000 within 10 years, when all the available land would be intensively cultivated.
