■ " ♦ Heavy Labour Losses EIGHT NEW MEMBERS A commencement was made with the counting of the votes for the City Council election after the mayoralty results had been announced. The new members of the council are Dr W. H. Borrie, Messrs J. Wilson, M. C. Henderson, J. McCrae, R. Walls, H. L. Gibson, W. B. Tavener and H. A. Newall.
