UNUSUAL ACCIDENT

TWO MEN INJURED [Pee United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH. May 10. An unusual accident, in which two men, Laurie Pascoe, a wood-contrac-tor, aged 31, and Alexander Owen, aged 50, were injured, Pascoe seriously, occurred this evening on the Christchurch side of West Melton on the main west road. Pascoe was bending down in front of his car cranking it when a car which Owen was driving struck the rear of Pascoe’s car, Pascoe being knocked down and run over by his own car. Pascoe suffered a fractured right leg and head and shoulder injuries. He is on the seriously ill list at the Christchurch Hospital. Owen suffered head and chest injuries, but his condition is satisfactory.
