(Received May 11, at 1.45 p.m.) The Maia and the Mercury, the latter carrying a full Atlantic load of 20,5001 b, separated successfully at an altitude of 3,000 ft during an Air Ministry test. The Mercury jettisoned 900 gallons of petrol, which wou!d have been largely consumed on a transatlantic flight before alighting.
