CITY OF DELHI LEAVES HALIFAX. The M.-A.-N.Z. line has received cabled advice that the City of Delhi left Halifax on February 2 for Wellington and Australia. She is due at Wellington on March 6. PERSONAL. Captain J. W. H. Staal, late of the Van Rees, is now in command of the South Pacific Line motor ship Maetsuycker. Captain A. S. Dalgliesh has resumed command of the Kaikorai, relieving Captain _W. A. Gray for holidays. Captain D. MacDonald is now in command of the Waiotapu, relieving Captain _F. L. G. Jammy for holidays. Captain A. R. Russell has taken command of the Karepo, relieving Captain E. R, Lowe for holidays. The Ngatoro recently recommissioned at Sydney under the command of Captain A. M. S, Beaton for holidays. Mr J. F. Collins is now third officer of the Rangatira, relieving Mr K. A, Seaman, who is on leave. MOTOR SHIP KAHIKA. SUCCESSFUL' TRIALS. The Union Steam Ship Company has received cabled advice that its new 1,500-ton cargo vessel Kahika, which was launched on .December 18 last,, underwent successful trials on * the Firth of Forth last Thursday. The Kahika is a twin-screw motor vessel of 1,500 tons gross, designed for the trade between Tasmanian ports and the mainland of Victoria and New South Wales. Built by Henry Robb and Son, Leith, she has a length of 253 feet, with a breadth of 45ft, and a moulded depth of 16ft 6in. The Kahika has her engines aft, with one main hold served by two hatches fitted; with roller beams.. Her service speed, is 11 knots. She is to leave the United Kingdom within a few days via ports and the Suez Canal for Newcastle, New South!. Wales, where she is due early in April. Captain N. M.
