MCREADY BEATS LITTLE WOLF POLICE ENTER RING [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 9. The entry of the police into the ring ended to-night’s bout between Earl AFC ready and Chief Little Wolf. M'Cready won by two falls to one, taking both his falls as penalties against the Indian. Chief Little AVolf persisted in using elbow jolts, and slaps and punches on the face when the referee ordered him to break, and for this infringement the penalty tails were given against him. The wrestlers appeared to be fairly evenly matched in strength, but the Indian was cunning, and he put his fearful deathlock several times on M'Cready by cleverly-laid traps. It was with the deathlock that he gained his fall. The fighting was fierce in the sixth and seventh rounds, and the bout ended in the seventh, when Wolf persisted in punishing M’Cready about the face when the referee ordered the contestants to break. BLGRIFIELD BEATS KIRILENKO AN UNUSUAL FALL [Pek United Pkess Association.] WELLINGTON, August 9. A single and rather unusual type of fail gave “ Lofty ” Blomfiekl the decision over Alatros Kirilenko in a professional wrestling contest to-night at the Town Hall. In the sixth round Kirilenko dumped Blomfiekl hard and lifted him to repeat the coup. As lie looked likely to deposit him over the ropes the referee (Air Alf. Jenkins) hauled Kirilenko backwards, upon which he overbalanced and fell underneath Blomfiekl. The latter promptly pinned him. Kirilenko gave a fine demonstration of speed and cunning, while Blomfiekl interspersed his usual solid tactics with a leavening of elbow jolts.
