Before Mr Salmon, S.M., Harold Byron Chandler, aged 56, who registered for unemployment as married and, though not supporting his wife for the past 23 years, obtained £lßl from the fund to which he was not entitled, was fined £SO and also sentenced to 14 days for making a false declaration.
