GOOD TEMPLARY
- * The Rescue Lodge, No. 105, held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall on Tuesday last, when Chief Templar Bro. E. Brooks presided. Bro. W. A. lies, G.C.T., and Bro. Fleury, G., were welcomed hack after a lengthy absence th rough illness. The superintendent, Bro. Brooks, reported on Star of tho South Temple, No. 15. The half-yearly election of officers resulted:—Chief Templar, Bro. K. Brooks (rc-elccted); Vic -Templar, Sister Mrs Mercer; secretary, Sister A. Smith (re-elected) ; F. .secretary. Sister I*. Bunds ; treasurer. Sister lies (re-elected) ; marshal. Sister JLi. Smith (re-elected) j guard, Bro. V.
Rowe; sentinel, Bro. Leithly: chaplain, Sister Mrs M'Douald. The following committees were appointed: - Syllabus—Bros, lies, Fleury, V. Rowe, and E. Brooks, Sisters Mercer, A. Smith, and R. Smith; finance—Bros. Dalton, M'Curdy, Mercer; Room Committee—marshal, deputy marshal, nuard, and sentinel- It was mentioned that Bro. Moore (D.C.T., of Auckland) had resigned his position owing to illness, and the secretary was instructed to write a letter wishing him a speedy recovery. Tho Star of the South Temple, No. 15, met on Tuesday. Chief Templar Sister P. Hollick presided, Bro. E. Brooks, superintendent, being in charge. The election of officers resulted;—Chief Templar, Sister C. Herbert; V.T., Sister L. North; chaplain, Sister B. Ross; secretary, Sister G. O’Hara; P.C-T.. Sister P. Hollick; marshal, Sister M. Gibbs; D.M., Sister Francis; guard. Sister O’Hara; F. secretary, Sister D. Merry; assistant secretary, Sister I. M‘Donald. One candidate was initiated.
