FREE KINDERGARTENS

TO-MORROWS APPEAL In connection with to-morrow’s appeal for funds to carry on free kindergarten work in Dunedin, produce stalls will operate at the Bank of New Zealand! Corner and at the Octagon. Members of the council of the Kindergarten Association will be in charge at the former stall, while members of the various local committees will direct the Octagon sale; Liberal contributions to the stalls have already been received, but further donations would be most welcome. .

Members of. various girls’ organisations in the city have kindly offered their services- in regard to the collection box appeal, which will be conducted,, from every street corner in the city. * Miss E. M. Calder. secretary of the association, reports that the mothers clubs have already contributed .substantially to the funds through collecting cards which were issued to them over a week ago. The support of the mothers is greatly appreciated by the association, which desires that they should co-operate with the work of the kindergartens as far as possible.
