ANZAC MESSAGES
RSETIK&S FROM FIELD MARSHAL BiRuWODD [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 23. The following message has been, received by the Defence Department, Wellington, from Field-marshal Sir William Birdwood:— It has been a great pleasure to all in the Old Country to see New Zealand uniforms here once more, worn by the magnificent lot of men you have sent over for the Coronation. We are delighted to have them with us for Anzao Day. I send my sincere greetings to all my old comrades, and homage to the people of New Zealand for that day. The following message was sent by the Acting Prime Minister (Mr P. Fraser) to Sir Wiliam Birdwood and to General Alexander Godley through the High Commissioner in London: — Sinoerest greetings and good wishes from the New Zealand Forces and the ; people of New Zealand. The Defence Department, Wellington, sent the following message to Army Headquarters, Melbourne:— New Zealand Forces exchange kindest greetings and good wishes in remembrance of Anzao Day.
