ROSLYN BRANCH
The monthly meeting of the Roslyn brunch of the League of Mothers .was held last Tuesday in the Roslyn Presbyterian Church Hall. Mrs H. L. Paterson presided. After the business of the meeting had been completed, solos were delightfully rendered by Miss Edna M'Lean. Many gifts of clothing were handed to the Roslyn district nurse, and a parcel of linen was despatched to the St. John Ambulance Association. Mrs S de Beer brought the thought for the day: “ Learn to forgive your neighbour as easily as your forgive yourself.” A most interesting address •followed by Miss Every, matron of the Batchelor Hospital, which comprised a comprehensive survey of work in the hospital, stressing the necessity for adequate preparation for motherhood. Mrs M'Callum passed a hearty vote of thanks to tho soloist and to Miss Every, and in a few well-chosen words gave a brief resume of tho points appreciated by the audience.
