LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
MUSSELBURGH BRANCH The April meeting of the Musselburgh branch of the League of Mothers was held last Tuesday evening, when Mrs 11. Abemethy presided over a good attendance. The meeting opened with the league hymn and prayer, following which the president introduced Miss Kihmont as the speaker for the evening. In her capacity as Roslyn district nurse, Miss Kinmont gave members a most enlightening talk on the splendid work done by the Roslyn District Nursing Association. It was during the recent years of depression that this Nursing Association was established, and, while much had been done to relieve the effects of that unfortunate period, it had since been felt'that there were many other families who could not afford the services of a private nurse, to whom the assistance of a district nurse would be of great benefit. It was hoped, however, with support in the right quarters, to spread the benefits of a nursing association to other districts. On behalf of the members present Mrs L. J. Mew thanked Miss Kinmont for her interesting talk, and, with the advent of supper, members enjoyed their usual social half-hour..
